Window

Open your heart - Kieran Gonsalves (c) 2025

Eyes are the windows to the heart,
Twas so right from the very start.
When we feel low or even a tad blue,
As most of us are prone to do.
With nary a thought, we shut ourselves in.
Hiding our angst, stifling the pain.
But our eyes can't hide the trouble,
A wee tear can burst our bubble.

Windows are meant to be opened wide,
To let the fresh air and sunshine inside.
To hear the lovestruck songbird merrily sing,
To watch the birds and bees do their thing.
Why not talk with friends to lift your mood?
Share a laugh or memory ... start to feel good.
So open the window, breathe the fresh air,
Let the warm sunshine gently kiss your hair.
