Windmills

Windmills

Original loose artwork and poem by Kieran Gonsalves (c) 2025

Holland without windmills would not be the same
It would be under water with no land to reclaim

Working with nature, they quietly pump seawater out
Allowing the land to be tilled and tulips to sprout

A lesson for us all to drain the windmills of our mind
Break free instead of feeling overwhelmed and confined

Get busy using your talents to surprise and delight all
Life doesn’t have to be a crawl when you can have a ball
