This day in history … Eruption of Mount St Helens on November 22, 1842. Known locally as _Lawetlat’la_ or “the one who smokes, Mount St Helens erupted  in vast columns of white steam spewing ash, with eyewitness accounts reporting ash fallout as far as 80 km away.
